FIATA would like to wish all e-Flash readers a very happy new year and a great start in 2024! What better way to kick off the FIATA news of 2024 than with a sneak peek of the event highlights coming up in 2024!
FIATA continues to listen to its members to evolve its events!
This year, FIATA is pleased to announce exciting revamped structures to its events, from the Geneva HQ Meeting, to the Regional Field Meetings, and the flagship FIATA World Congress, this year in its 60th edition to be hosted in Panama. Through these annual FIATA events, members and non-members can network with the FIATA community and the global freight forwarding and logistics sector at large, share freight forwarding knowledge and expertise, hear from experts and industry leaders about the latest trends, and get up to date with the latest industry resources and best practices. FIATA events are a unique opportunity for members to leverage the strength of FIATA's global membership to reinforce their competitiveness in a rapidly evolving marketplace.
Each event is focused on a clear objective, each synergistically complementing each other to complete a unique experience over the year. FIATA's Presidency and HQ in particular, have been working on streamlining these meetings to reduce their duration and make them more accessible for industry professionals.

2024 FIATA Region Africa and Middle East (RAME) Field Meeting, UAE - 5 to 6 March
The 2024 Regional Field Meetings are a key opportunity for regional and local networking and B2B side events. FIATA strongly supports and encourages the use of its events to make new business connections.
This year, the FIATA Region Africa and Middle East Field Meeting will be hosted in Dubai by the National Association of Freight and Logistics (NAFL) of the United Arab Emirates.

2024 FIATA HQ Meeting - 23 to 26 April
The 2024 FIATA HQ Meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, will focus on workshops, after the great success of the newly introduced format at last year's HQ Meeting. It is the opportunity for FIATA and its Association Member delegates to work on solutions to the pressing challenges of the industry with other supply chain actors, and to develop resources and best practices for its member companies.
The event will be held in Geneva, Switzerland between 23-26 April 2024 at the CICG - The International Conference Centre Geneva, with the Extended Board Meeting taking place on the afternoon of Friday 26 April. Information on other invitation-only meetings will be provided shortly by the HQ Team via email.
Please note that a Welcome Cocktail will be organised on the evening of Tuesday 23 April 2024.

To participate in the FIATA HQ Meeting 2024, please register using the dedicated form.
Please note that all participants are responsible for securing their visas in time for the event, and are invited to start their registration NOW to allow enough time for the issuance of the visa letter and the visa processing time!
If a FIATA member is prevented from attending the event in-person due to force majeure, it is advised that they contact the FIATA Events team at [email protected] for individual assistance as soon as possible.
Please note that registration to the FIATA HQ Meeting is open until Friday 29 March 2024 inclusive, and that any refund requests are to be made before this date.

2024 FIATA Statutory General Meeting - 28 June
The FIATA Statutory General Meeting is the event allowing all FIATA members to review the collective achievements of the Federation in the past year, and the prospective way forward for 2025.
Save the date! More information is on its way for members to register ahead of the 2024 General Meeting, addressing statutory matters.
2024 FIATA World Congress, Panama - 23 to 27 September
The journey will culminate in the 2024 FIATA World Congress being hosted in Panama, and will bring together the logistics community at large, members and non-members alike, to:
- discuss industry challenges and trends;
- hear perspectives from top industry leaders and their solutions;
- exchange and network with supply chain actors from all around the world and from different parts of the logistics industry.
The 2024 FIATA World Congress is being hosted by Panama's freight forwarding Association, Asociación Panameña de Agencias de Carga (APAC) and FIATA. The official website can be found here, which includes all necessary event information including registration fees and forms, accommodation options, travel advice and tourist information.
Early bird registration is open until 15 May, after which normal rates will apply.
What a better place than Panama, the logistic hub between the Atlantic and Pacific, strategically located between North and South America, to convene such a unique industry gathering!
