FIATA Celebrates 100 Years!

Dear FIATA Members and members of the logistics community,

On this historic occasion of FIATA’s 100th Anniversary, we proudly commemorate a century of commitment, resilience, collaboration, and service to global trade and logistics.

Founded on 31 May 1926 in Vienna, Austria, FIATA International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations has grown to become the global voice of freight logistics, representing and connecting the international forwarding and logistics community across continents, industries, and generations.

For 100 years, freight forwarders and logistics service providers have played a vital role in enabling international commerce, supporting economic development, connecting markets, facilitating trade, and ensuring the continuous movement of goods that sustain industries, businesses, and societies worldwide. Through periods of transformation, disruption, crisis, and innovation, our industry has remained an indispensable pillar of the global supply chain ecosystem.

As we celebrate this centennial milestone, we also recognise the collective efforts and enduring partnerships of our Association Members, Individual Members, governments, regulators, international organisations, carriers, ports, terminals, technology partners, academic institutions, and all the stakeholders who continue to contribute towards a more connected, resilient, sustainable, and efficient global logistics landscape.

FIATA remains firmly committed to advancing trade facilitation, digital transformation, professional excellence, sustainability, innovation, and international cooperation. Together with our global community, we will continue to strengthen the freight forwarding and logistics profession while supporting the evolving needs of international trade and supply chain management in the decades ahead.

This centennial celebration is not only a reflection of our proud history, but also a renewed commitment towards shaping the future of global logistics with responsibility, integrity, collaboration, and vision.
