Remember to sign-up for the 2023 FIATA Statutory General Meeting!


The 2023 FIATA Statutory General Meeting (GM) is just around the corner! On Friday 30 June from 14:00 to 15:30 CEST, FIATA Association Members will meet online and should register by latest Thursday, 22 June.

Members can register to the event on this link (Microsoft Teams).

A second link is available here (Typeform) as an official registration form for all voting delegates. A 4-digit code can be proposed on this link which will allow Members to enter the Association voting platform on the day of the GM.


Register here for the Monday, 26 June, test session at 12:00 CEST session (Region Europe and Region Africa and Middle East).
Register here for the Tuesday, 27 June, test session at 09:00 CEST session (Region Asia-Pacific).

Associations must appoint one voting delegate, who must be registered by Thursday 22 June. If an Association is not able to join, a proxy can be appointed by Tuesday 20 June, and FIATA must be informed.

“Membership shall be suspended if the member does not meet its financial obligations in due time. The secretariat shall inform the member of its suspension in writing. Suspension shall be deemed annulled with the receipt of all amounts outstanding.” 

Members recently received a notification from the FIATA HQ about their outstanding invoices and can verify this by logging onto the Member Area on the FIATA website. Should you have already paid these invoices, please send us the remittance advice, and note that your suspension will be automatically lifted once all outstanding invoices have been paid in full. 

The FIATA HQ remains at your disposal should you require any assistance in fulfilling your financial obligations, and for any further queries please contact [email protected].

Your photos can feature: Goods/cargo transport methods (rail, air, sea, road), warehouses, cargo and containers, digital tools/devices used for freight forwarding processes, training, legal and customs work, sustainability topics, media processes, and any other freight forwarding related work. The best photos will also be put on exhibition at upcoming FIATA events and feature in FIATA Communications content (FIATA Review, FIATA website, FIATA social media and more!).

Photo Conditions:

  • Photos should not feature branding of any company or organisation (with the exception of FIATA).
  • If faces appear on photos, you MUST have the authorisation of the said person to enter their photo into the competition and for it to be publicised.
  • The maximum file size should be 15MB (compression is allowed).
  • The file should be sent in PNG format.
  • Submitted photos will receive full accreditation of the photo author, unless otherwise requested.

FFFAI celebrates its Diamond Jubilee with FIATA President present


FIATA would like to extend a warm congratulations to the Federation of Freight Forwarders' Associations in India (FFFAI) on a successful Diamond Jubilee celebration. The event began with a grand opening in New Delhi. Esteemed guests including Shri Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, and FIATA's President Dr Ivan Petrov spoke inspirationally of logisticians and their role in the global supply chain.

The FFFAI took the opportunity to launch the eFBL on this special occasion. Themes of the panels included standardisation, transparency, sustainability, and digitalisation. FIATA President, Dr Ivan Petrov spoke on trade facilitation in the logistics industry, including single windows, customs work, NTFCs (National Trade Facilitation Committees) and FIATA's Guidance on the WTO-TFA (Trade Facilitation Agreement). 

EFFSAA celebrates FIATA Diploma training programme with over 170 participants


FIATA would like to share its appreciation and congratulations to the Ethiopian Freight Forwarders and Shipping Agents Association (EFFSAA), who have graduated a total of 113 professionals in the FIATA Diploma training programme under 5 batches. Trainees attended the program in both evening and weekend sessions.

This colourful graduation ceremony, which took place on Thursday 8 June at the Inter-Luxury Hotel, was attended by more than 170 participants including the Minister of F.D.R.E Ministry of Transport and Logistics, H.E Dr Alemu Sime, Trainees, FIATA Diploma Trainers, Members of EFFSAA, invited guests, family, relatives and friends of trainees and the media. FIATA was also pleased to share a congratulatory video message from the FIATA DG with the participants.
