FIATA Logistics Academy launches three online courses
Zurich, Switzerland/ March 29, 2019/FIATA Newswire/ -- The FIATA Logistics Academy stretches to deliver its vision of delivering one knowledge source for professional logistics, and to become a leading provider of educational tools both technical and soft and solutions to the freight forwarding industry, announced today at the first launch of its flagship digital courses. It is back to school time for logistics professionals, learning is now as easily accessible on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
This is FIATA’s response to industry dynamics - workforce needs education to keep up the pace. This spring, FIATA Members will get the most out of the technology with three digital courses featuring: Introduction to Global Logistics Management Theory and Practice, Maritime Transport, and Digital Train the Trainer by the FIATA Foundation - Vocational Training.
Now FIATA’s Association Members can use these training provisions to enhance their training programmes. They will have what they need in one platform that provides access to content across some of the subjects outlined in the FIATA Minimum Standards in Freight Forwarding. The platform, based on edX’s technology is amongst the best in the world supported by Harvard, MIT, Oxford and over 30 other universities. The platform allows easy access to courses for the entire class or individual students to support their learning goals and supplement their lesson plans. Data analytics will in time provide great insight on how people learn.
Over the last 23 years with the inception of the Advisory Body Vocational Training in 1996 and then the founding of the FIATA Logistics Academy five years ago, FIATA has become the go-to venue for the industry’s training, Education & vocational needs
