Season's Greetings from FIATA

General
24 December 2025

Dear FIATA Members and the global logistics community,

As 2025 draws to a close, we extend our sincere appreciation for your continued engagement and partnership. 2025 has been marked by notable milestones for the global freight forwarding and logistics community, and your support and valuable insights have been central to this journey.

This year’s 2025 FIATA World Congress in Hanoi, Vietnam brought together over 1,200 participants from more than 80 territories, fostering dialogue on sustainable and resilient logistics and reinforcing our global network. The quality of discussion and level of participation reflected the strength of our collective commitment to advancing the industry.

Throughout the year, FIATA significantly strengthened its regional engagement, with field meetings taking place in all four regions for the first time. These gatherings provided valuable platforms for exchange, collaboration, and knowledge sharing closer to home, while reinforcing the unity of our industry.

Our education and capacity-building initiatives also made significant strides, with a growing number of FIATA Diplomas delivered and celebrated across multiple Association Members. This achievement underscores our unwavering commitment to professional excellence and workforce development.

On the international policy stage, FIATA achieved a major milestone when the International Maritime Organization (IMO) granted us full consultative status. This recognition strengthens our ability to represent the interests of freight forwarders in global maritime regulatory discussions.

Equally historic was the adoption of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Convention on Negotiable Cargo Documents (NCD) by the UN General Assembly - a landmark framework that supports multimodal trade and aligns with FIATA’s long-standing efforts on negotiable documents of title.

These are just a few highlights of the incredible achievements of 2025, and we look forward to working alongside you in the coming year, pursuing shared goals with renewed energy. Thank you for your contribution to a year of progress and collaboration. Together, we remain committed to strengthening the global logistics community.

As the year comes to an end, we extend our warm regards to you and your loved ones.

Wishing you a joyful festive season and a bright start to the new year,
The FIATA Director General and Headquarters Team
