FIATA President Visits Slovakian National Association on occasion of their 30th Anniversary!

FIATA would like to congratulate the ZLZ SR - Association of Logistics and Freight Forwarding of the Slovak Republic, on reaching its 30th anniversary. To mark the occasion, FIATA President Petrov joined the Association's event in Bratislava and took part in their celebrations, where he can be seen below with ZLZ SR President Mr Frantisek Komora. The event included a theatre play and gala dinner and was attended by 200 guests.

The association, formerly named Slovak Freight Forwarders’ Association, was founded in 1992 during a time when the freight forwarding industry was starting to evolve. After moving its headquarters from Žilina to Bratislava, the association enlarged its focus on logistics and rebranded to its current name.

The main focus of ZLZ SR is to represent the interests of freight forwarders towards governmental, entrepreneurial and other professional organisations, to actively participate in the law-making procedure, to assist its members in legal and insurance issues and to support vocational education in logistics and freight forwarding.
